On Wednesday, the 27th of March, we welcomed the AlisQI community to a new Customer Day. The event, dedicated to fostering a Culture of Quality, was a success, buzzing with insightful presentations, vibrant networking, and a shared passion for achieving operational excellence. For those of you who couldn’t join us in person, we’ve put together this short article with key takeaways.
A quick summary
We welcomed attendees from 12 PM forward at Lowlander Botanical Bar and Restaurant in Amsterdam. Leading manufacturers from different industries connected and learned from each other’s experiences. After a delicious lunch and networking session, we kicked off with a short introduction and company update, highlighting the importance of Quality Management and setting the stage for the insightful presentations to come.
Then, our valued customers took center stage delivering engaging presentations that showcased real-world applications of the AlisQI platform in the context of Culture of Quality. The audience expressed a lot of enthusiasm and challenged our speakers with questions. Guests were also encouraged to voice their opinions in an interactive workshop and an exclusive presentation sharing what’s next for our product roadmap. We finished the day with a delightful beer tasting session, in which we shared thoughts and impressions, and formed new connections networking.
Focus of the day: building a Culture of Quality together
First up, we had a presentation from Hans Zijlstra, Manager Quality and Technology at Farm Diary, who talked about the transformation from a Quality department to a Culture of Quality, in which data and information play a key role. His talk also highlighted how becoming more mature in information management was a key factor in making this transformation successful.
Next, we welcomed Malcolm McLean, QA/QC Manager at edilon)(sedra, who introduced edilon)(sedra products, and explained how business has evolved using Tolling manufacturers to fulfill their production commitments. Malcolm’s inspiring talk also highlighted their use of AlisQI in managing business data, empowering employees and how software has helped automate time-consuming process checks.
AlisQI also delivered a thought-provoking keynote that delved into the core principles of building a strong Culture of Quality. Key concepts like the Total Cost of Quality, continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making were explored. Attendees were also introduced to the AlisQI Total Cost of Quality dashboard; a brand-new, pragmatic tool designed to track costs and promote a Culture of Quality.
Beyond presentations
Beyond the presentations, the true magic of Customer Day unfolded during the vibrant networking sessions. Attendees from diverse industries connected, shared best practices, and forged valuable relationships. This collaborative atmosphere fostered a sense of community, where participants could learn from each other's experiences and gain inspiration for their own quality journeys.
The positive energy and enthusiastic discussions throughout the day were a testament to the collective commitment to achieving the highest quality standards. Customer Day wasn't just an event – it was a catalyst for meaningful dialogue, innovation, and shared growth.
